Where was the idea of Hello Recovery born?

 

I was diagnosed with anorexia in 2013, and have since been on my own journey to recovery. I found that there weren't any products designed specifically to help those with mental heath issues, which, considering the amount of aids available for physical disabilities, I found quite astounding.

 

Once I got to a stage in my recovery where I was healthier in my body and mind, I started thinking about what could have helped me when I was struggling. Were there products that could help encourage me or remind me to keep fighting...?

 

Two years on and I launched Hello Recovery, on 27th September 2015.

After a successful two years in business, selling over 200 hand-stamped spoons, the site was relaunched with a new website on 17th June 2017.

 

 

What is the aim of Hello Recovery?

 

The aim of Hello Recovery is to aid people in their recovery by selling handmade products specifically designed for those with mental health issues.

 

I plan on creating more products to help people in their recoveries, whilst also raising awareness of mental health issues.

 

I also hope to generate enough profit to give a percentage of my proceeds to mental health charities such as Beat and Mind in the future.
